ATACH Honors 2020 Captains of Industry CEOs of Canopy, GTI, and Trulieve Honored
Washington, D.C. — Today, the American Trade Association for Cannabis and Hemp (ATACH) extended its top annual “Captains of Industry” award categories to three honorees who have significantly impacted the cannabis industry in 2020 and made positive contributions to the industry.
This year’s honorees include Canopy Growth CEO David Klein, as ATACH “Beverage Executive of the Year,” Green Thumb Industries’ Chairman and CEO Ben Kovler, as “Captain of Industry,” and Trulieve’s CEO Kim Rivers as “Retailer of the Year.”
Said ATACH President Michael Bronstein about each award recipient:
“David Klein has been a force in beverage for over 15 years, beginning at Constellation Brands in 2005 and serving as the company’s CFO and then being named CEO of Canopy Growth earlier this year. His passion about the cannabis beverage market and leadership are transforming the entire industry. When Constellation invested in Canopy, it marked a historic time in building the cannabis beverage space. In fact, many of the developments we see in this market segment would not have been possible without David’s vision, leadership, and belief in the market.”
