Andy Williams, President/CEO of Medicine Man Inc., joins the Board of Directors of the AMERICAN TRADE ASSOCIATION FOR CANNABIS & HEMP (ATACH)
Washington, DC, 2/22/16 – Today, the American Trade Association for Cannabis and Hemp (“ATACH”) announced Andy Williams of Medicine Man in Colorado is joining the organization’s five member Board of Directors.
“Andy Williams has been a pioneer in the cannabis space and establishing the legitimacy of the industry,” said Michael Bronstein, Lead Consultant for ATACH. “His addition to our Board of Directors is noteworthy because Medicine Man is a highly respected long established brand with operations in multiple states.”
Andy Williams is a veteran of the US Army and has a Bachelor of Science degree in Industrial Engineering. In 2009, the Ogden letter was published stating the Department of Justice would not utilize their resources to prosecute those individuals following state marijuana laws. That was the call to a new opportunity in the marijuana industry for Andy and his brother Pete. They launched Medicine Man with the concept of being the Costco of marijuana. Six years later, Medicine Man has branched out to assist start up marijuana companies and grow facilities around the country with their consulting company, Medicine Man Technologies.
“I am honored to become a member of the ATACH Board of Directors,” said Andy Williams. “ATACH has been operating at a high level on banking regulations, internal industry standards, and rigorous state-by-state business legalization and promotion. I am excited to lend my expertise to their efforts in furthering the professional nature of the industry.”
