ATACH Response to Congressional Request for Information on the Regulation of CBD

“The regulation of cannabidiol should not permit intoxicating products under the guise of CBD or add to the proliferation of the massive unregulated gray market in hemp-synthesized intoxicants due to the Farm Bill. Those who are selling ‘non-intoxicating hemp products’ with a nod a wink knowing they are selling an unregulated intoxicant with the same amount of THC as a state regulated product, undermine the entire system of taxing and regulating marijuana, and the time for comprehensive federal reform is now.”
