Statement by ATACH on FDA Rejection of Charlotte’s Web CBD

The American Trade Association for Cannabis and Hemp offered this statement following the FDA rejection of Charlotte’s Web CBD As Dietary Supplement:

“The current regulatory landscape regarding CBD is untenable. CBD requires a clear regulatory pathway that provides meaningful oversight, and takes into account both the growing market as well as consumer public health and safety. Ignoring the issue is no longer an option and reinforces the need for swift congressional action to resolve this matter.”
